The WWU Libraries has an extensive microform collection.  In addition to newspapers and journals the collection contains many specialized collections such as:

  • The Early English Books Collection
  • Underground Newspaper Collection
  • New York Theatre, 1919 - 1961
  • Washington State Oral / Aural History Program
  • Pre-1900 Canadiana
  • Envirofiche
  • ERIC
  • Kraus Curriculum Development Library
  • and many others

The microform collections are made up of 35mm and 16mm microfilm reels, standard microfiche and ultra-fiche, and micro-opaque cards.  All formats are held on Wilson 2 West and each grouping of materials are arranged first by call number and then by internal organizational elements.  Indexes to many of these collections are available online as well as in print form in the microform area.

While the collections are primarily intended as self-serve a assistance is available from the Media Desk or the Reference and Information Desk across the skybridge on Haggard 2.
